Realising this, Qfwfq manages to return to earth, completely ignoring what he thought he loved. Since the deaf man desired the moon, the woman wanted to become the moon and never looked back towards earth. This was a great opportunity for Qfwfq to make the woman forget aboutt the deaf man, but no. Qfwfq was the only one to follow the captain’s wife to the moon, and at that point, the moon drifted.
There is a question-mark whether he knew that “that the Moon’s orbit was widening”. Little did he know that, for the first time ever, the woman of his affections wanted to go up, obviously to prevent the moon from taking her man, in the mean time the captain eagerly encourages her to go.
The following month, whilst the deaf man wanted to eagerly explore the moon, Qfwfq didn’t want to go up their. So much so that she became jealous of the Moon, Qfwfq became jealous of his cousin, where as the captain and the deaf man had other things in mind. But it was clearly noticeable that the lady found the deaf cousin’s natural interaction with the moon very arousing. In the mist of this struggle, Qfwfq fell in love with captain’s wife. It was composed chiefly of vegetal juices, tadpoles, bitumen, lentils, honey, starch crystals, sturgeon eggs, molds, pollens, gelatinous matter, worms, resins, pepper, mineral salts, combustion residue. It formed in the crevices between one scale and the next, through the fermentation of various bodies and substances of terrestrial origin which had flown up from the prairies and forests and lakes, as the Moon sailed over them. So they didn’t climb the moon just for the hell of it, they wanted to gather the moon-milk! The only person that found it natural to navigate the moon was Qfwfq’s cousin. Climbing onto the moon was hard, or at least climbing to a certain distance before the moons gravitation would take care of pulling them up.

It’s orbit was elliptical like ours but whilst our moon is slightly closer on it’s full appearance, in Qfwfq’s days of nostalgia, the moon was so close that all you needed was a boat to sail near it, and a ladder to climb onto it. Qfwfq used to do this all the time he would sail towards the moon with his companions:Ĭaptain Vhd Vhd, his wife, my deaf cousin, and sometimes little Xlthlx - she was twelve or so at that time.
